Loopamp Realtime Turbidimeter (LA-500) is a equipment specifically for the LAMP (Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification) method, a novel gene amplification method. With the time and temperature preset, gene amplification will occur, and the detection can be done by simultaneously monitoring the white turbidity caused by the formation of magnesium pyrophosphate, an amplification by-product.
e-GLEEK is an automatic trapping system that is used to count insects automatically. It sends alerts when a large amount of flies is detected and the threshold is crossed or when the glued sheet is oversaturated. It sends alerts via SMS or email when an invasion is qualified. It has a superior 12 months autonomy in regular operational mode. The 3G version transfers Images to your account. Several insect genus can be identified.
Buntata is an Android application that has been designed to help users identify plant pests and diseases with no a-priori knowledge. Buntata provides a visual key for the identification of diseases by displaying example images of symptoms. A user visually selects the part of the plant that is affected and Buntata displays images of recorded symptoms. Picking the image that most closely resembles the symptoms shows detailed information about possible causes, background information, diagnostics and control methods to help deal with the cause. Diseases can exhibit similar symptoms. Buntata displays diseases with similar symptoms together allowing easy comparison to help users identify the correct one.
The VideometerLab Instrument is an instrument for multispectral image acquisition. It is used for reflectance imaging and optionally fluorescence and transmittance imaging. Together with the VideometerLab software, it is used for both exploratory analysis, for calibration model construction and for routine quality control in a wide range of application areas. The Videometer technology provides accuracy, robustness and highly reproducible measurements.
The company Agdia provides a range of tests for specific plant pathogens. AmplifyRP XRT and XRT+ kits provide real-time isothermal nucleic acid amplification and detection in a portable and easy-to-use format. Using AmplifyRP, end-users can obtain the same high level of sensitivity and specificity as PCR but with some distinct advantages: crude sample preparation, ready-to-use amplification reagents, pre-optimized and validated, real-time results in 30 minutes or less, lower equipment cost than PCR / qPCR. AmpliFire is a portable, battery-powered, isothermal fluorometer that performs amplification and detection in as little as 10 minutes when paired with AmplifyRP XRT and XRT+ kits.
AmplifyRP® Acceler8® (manufacurer Agdia) enables users to rapidly amplify TCDVd RNA at a single operating temperature using only a crude sample extract in portable heat block equipment. Amplified product is then tested in an Amplicon Detection Chamber where clear "yes / no" results are read visually on a lateral flow strip (much like a pregnancy test). Results are read visually on a lateral flow strip that is housed within the detection chamber. This chamber is also designed to prevent amplicons from escaping and contaminating future assays. At the moment a limited number of assays are available, but the system is expandable.
Genie® II is a sophisticated instrument that enables the sensitive detection of bacteria and viruses at a molecular level. This powerful and extremely flexible platform allows isothermal amplification of DNA and RNA to take place in a compact device designed to run any isothermal amplification method that employs target detection by fluorescence measurement. In trials the Genie® II proved to be a very easy-to-use, robust, portable instrument; invaluable for use in the field.
Use of sexual confusion (mating disruption) to control the moth tuta absoluta in tomato. If there is no encounter between the sexes, there is no reproduction and the females do not lay the fertile eggs.
The Semios platform is a powerful tool in yield improvement that helps growers assess and optimize their response to insect, disease and plant health conditions in real-time. Semios is used for on-site sensing, big data and predictive analytics solutions for permanent crops including the vine, tree nut and tree fruit. Semios blankets each orchard block with a mesh network – allowing them to install remote-controlled pheromone dispensers, camera traps for pests, soil moisture sensors or leaf-wetness devices. Images are compiled per block for summary reports providing accurate and up-to-date pest pressure information.
