DroplegUL is an under-leaf application technique that enables plant protection products to be applied within the crop. Upward, horizontal and top down spray applications are possible. It is a light device and can be easily mounted on most boom sprayers. It is intended to provide more uniform coverage and better spray deposition on the lower canopy or lower side of leaves. It may also reduce spray drift compared with conventional application techniques.
Droplegs can be used on spray booms that fold vertically and horizontally. For horizontal folding some adaptions may be necessary. In general pulling up the droplegs before folding the boom in parking position protects them in the area of the wheel housing of e.g. a trailed sprayer. Tractor can not drive backwards in the crop. Maxium pressure range 8 bar, less weather-dependent use due to low-drift application on crop.

Depending on crop e.g. good experience in rape seed during flowering with up to 10 km/h. Higher speeds are possible depending on deflection of Dropleg when passing through canopy e.g. 16 km/h in soybeans.
Big range of l/ha rates from 50 to 2000 l. Acreage covered depends on sprayer speed, spray pressure and nozzle size.

Droplegs hang into the crop, the spray is target oriented downwards, sidewise or upwards, drift is strongly reduced and efficacy for instance in brussels sprouts against whiteflies that are located on the underside of leaves is increased; and against Sclerotinia spp. on French beans.
