The MyIPM smartphone application was originally developed in 2012 by Clemson University for South Carolina peach and strawberry growers, but has since expanded into a tool that serves all fruit growers along the east coast. It has information to aid identification and control.  The App includes diagnostics, chemical, biological, and cultural control tactics, search feature to list active ingredients and trade names for each disease/pest together with efficacy and rate per acre.

EDDMapS IPM is a new app designed to be used by County Extension Agents (Georgia, US), crop advisors and extension specialists to report current pest and disease activity in real time via smartphone. Maps demonstrating up-to-date information are available for download on www.eddmaps.org/ipm/.  Currently, a few extension specialists in Georgia are testing this app and commodities are hand-selected, allowing the developers to refine the basic process and work on getting reliable data. Commodities include blueberry, cotton, wheat, vegetables, grain sorghum, corn and soybean.

Cropwise Imagery is a digital farming tool that uses imaging technology to monitor crop health. The user can easily acces all data via their tablet, phone or computer. The data is easy to interpret and can be used to detect anomalities in the field. This farming tool signals the user when something is harming the crops. It indicates problems such as water stress, attacks by defoliating pests, nutritional deficiencies or nematodes.

This is a decision support platform that uses a range of tools to gather information on weather, crops, pests etc.The objective is to centralize a large amount of data from agricultural plots, to integrate them into tools and route the information to the users: the farmers . The sources are multiple: atmospheric simulators, sensors, forecasting models, calculated parameters.  The models for field vegetables are the result of international scientific cooperation with research institutes and universities.  These tools are available on the http://oad.agrimeto.eu platform, on smartphones and via weekly email notifications.  Smart insect traps can also be linked to the platform.

AkerScout is a directed crop scouting application to help identify and prioritize crop damage to address problem areas needing immediate attention. The application works on standalone mode, however various important features are enabled when you load high resolution aerial vegetation imagery.  Features include: Scout task coordination and assignment of multiple fields and scouts; support for various crop types including corn, soy, sugar beet and more added frequently; comprehensive database for identification of pests, diseases and plant limiting stress; GPS enabled crop scouting with identification and capture of disease, pests, weather, plant population, damage severity, photos and notes; field mapping and comprehensive reporting.

This company focuses on control of a wide range of pests and their products include a drone which accurately approaches each target and performs the treatments in a way that drift is greatly reduced. Their drones ae being developed all the time, increasing the capabilities of machine vision and terrain analysis, to adapt to the terrain and improve flights and proximity to the ground.  The drone can load up to 10 litres and release the treatment at an average of 1.8l / min. This allows it to carry out effective treatments in a short time.

PLANTCT™ is a site specific management system, that continuously monitors the weather and crop plants, and can reduce the impact of harmful weather events on crops by helping the user to intervene in time. Used as a disease/pest warning system, the DSS helps users to determine when to apply control measures to suppress diseases and pests. The forecasting system gives predictions by using mathematical models and provides a warning message to the client about the risk level based on these models. Risk evaluations help to inform on choice in using a chemical application.
